For some reason, the user registration was broken on the forums; this has now been fixed.
Please come back soon for an update on the progress of GuildFTPd. |

Come back soon? You don't even talk to us. What should we expect?
There is only one critical problem in 999.14 that keeps killing my servers, and that is the hammering detection that doesn't work. If you'd just fix that and give us 999.15, we might endure, with some communication from you at least monthly.
The only thing that keeps this from being complete project abandonment, is your comment quoted above. What are we expected to conclude about Guildftpd? I don't wish to seem unappreciative, but there are a lot of unfulfilled expectations left on the table here. When is soon in you book? It's now 3 months after you posted this, is that soon?
How about if you come back sooner and give us some updates and progress reports, or just tell us that you didn't do anything this last period? |

I have to say.... Guild is my favorite FTP server ever. The user setup and configuration interface is splended. You've done an AWESOME job. But the hammering thing is clearly an issue (and one that doesn't seem like it should be that hard to fix -- at least as far as log sizes go). It's kind of disappointing to see all the work so far invested not as useful as it could be through upkeep. However, I still love the software and extend my sincere grattitude for all the hard work!
If you don't want to invest more time in upkeep, have you thought of releasing the source? Haven't seen that lately, but it seems like a viable alternative for a busy adult trying to balance all the rigors of a life in a modern society and a project such as this. |
